I spent 21 years in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. The high point of my career was being the sole medical provider aboard a nuclear-powered submarine. Lots of administrative work comes with the job.

I know what it’s like to cram 20 lbs of stuff into the 10 lbs bag.

Been there, done that. I’ve written/proofread departmental operating manuals, patient education material, internal and outgoing correspondence, and more, in both an operational and clinical setting, as well as kept all of the administrative plates spinning.

On two occasions I built/rebuilt complete medical administrative departments:

*One department was a totally new program for the hospital (Alcohol Rehab). No administrative infrastructure existed whatsoever. No operating manuals, nursing procedures manuals, training manuals, checklists, nothing.
